Wrecklace driving Jan 29th, 2008

Tonight I drove off the road, I didn't slide of the road, I just drove right off while reading a text message. Yah, I know, I hate to even admit it, life is about making bad choices and learning from them, right? It was a good lesson learned, especially after I realized I was so stuck that I was going to have to leave my car there and walk the remaining 3 miles home in the dark. I got home around midnight. A car even went flying by me and didn't stop.

Knock yourself out! I will! Feb 8th,2008

Being lazy by not shoveling out my chopping block led to my bruised eye. A piece of wood flew up after chopping it, and it hit me right on the eye. So I immediatly grabbed a handful of snow and held it over my eye, while wondering if I had poked my eye out.

Got wood? No, but I need some! Feb 11th 2008

My mom and dad came over today with a load of wood and some propane( I'm running out!). We had to haul it up on a sled. After the chores were done we went into town and loaded up on a yummy hot pizza and salad.

Love to ski Feb 14th 2008

Skiied with Meghan today. It was a beautiful day, and I gave a couple valentines out to some boys at the ski hill.

Sicker than a dog, March 1st, 2008

I can't remember the last time I was this sick. What is wrong with me I wonder? Waking up so cold, shaking, shivering, in so much pain having to rock back and forth to ease a little of it. I could barely get out of bed to get down the ladder to feed the pets, let alone chop wood and get the fire going. See I don't really plan ahead. Then I realized my cell phone was dying, and the charger was in my car wich was at the bottom of the driveway, almost an 1/8th of a mile away. So I made a quick call to my ex-boyfriend for help. knowing he was the closest person that would help me, what a nice guy. It seemed like forever before I heard the waaaaah waaaaah of his sled ripping up the hill, I was feeling sicker by the minute. He had a bag of relief with him, juice, nyquil, crackers. After he started a nice warm fire he quickly took off and once again I felt alone and helpless. The next morning I woke up, cold and weak, and knew I couldn't take care of myself, and once again called my ex-boyfriend to come rescue me. He took me to town and dropped me off at my parents where I recovered quickly under the care of my mom.

Phat Pow March 14th 2008

Okay today was definitley my day, it snowed 14" + and I did not have to be at work until late afternoon! It was such a great day tele-skiing, it was so deep and I was having such a good time, I didn't get a single picture. Nor did I think about having to shovel that evening to get into my driveway.

AAAHHH, a little taste of warm sunshine. I was so greedy today for sun, I went out snowshoeing in my bikini and got sunburned. Then I drank margaritas with my ex-boyfriend. I am sitting on my picnic table in this picture. Tiny the dog is on the right.

I had an interview today at a large resort, a good hour away from my place. The roads were slushy from an early morning snowfall. I got home later in the afternoon, it felt cold and damp in the cabin. The wood supply was down to slim pickin's, what i could squeeze in the stove without having to chop had gotten wet, and I just was over chopping wood.
Then ... it began to snow and that turned into a blizzard. I kid you not.
So I drank nearly a bottle of wine while I contemplated what to do, knowing that i was going to snap soon if I didn't get a break from winter. I then made a few phone calls, packed my bags, packed the dog and the cat food, made a few trips to the car and we hit the road. Where was I going you are wondering? Sunny California, but of course!

Today

Today is may first day of blogging. Since I don't have the internet, I am only able to get on the internet randomly. Today I'm at a laundromat/public shower facility, and I'm the only one here. Ah.

So I will be putting in some blogs from last winter, hopefully soon, before winter comes again. It is allready in the 30's at night, and I'm just not ready for it yet. You'll see why in upcoming blogs.

Starting in December last year it had allready snowed enough that I was unable to get up my driveway, so therefore I parked at the bottom and walked or skiied up. I hauled my groceries, laundry, 40 lb bags of dog food, propane tanks, and sometimes water when there just wasn't enough sun to power the outdoor water pump. And I walked up this tree lined driveway everynite after work, in the dark with my adopted dog Tiny, who weighs in at 140 by the way. I was given Tiny just about the time I moved in, what a blessing in disguise. I can't imagine having to walk up the dark spooky driveway without him. The driveway didn't melt off until the first week of June.
